Cineculture

Back in the earlier part of the year, Fataculture's Nick Plowman and myself hatched an idea for a new community blog, made up of young film bloggers, to cover the world of movies from a unique perspective - a combining of forces, if you will.

Well today that idea has become a reality.

First conceived on March 31st, 2008, Cineculture is a new film blog combining the forces of From the Front Row and Fataculture, which Nick announced a hiatus from today.

What this will become or how far it will go, no one knows. Both of us will maintain our own respective blogs for now. They could eventually be phased out in favor of Cineculture, or may endure indefinitely, who knows?

This will not affect my posting at From the Front Row for now. You can continue to expect the same output from me throughout the Oscar season. Cineculture will be a joint effort by Nick and I to bring you the best in movie news, reviews, and commentary. And by combining our forces we will be able to cover more films than ever before, from both American and South African perspectives.

Cineculture is still a work in progress (I am new to the Wordpress system, Nick is not), but I hope you will all join us over there as we get things rolling. Nick and I look forward to seeing you there.

Fabulous prospective news combining the forces of two of the internet's best. I can't tell how excited I am by this, and I will be one of the project's most steadfast fans. Both you and Nick are two of my favorite people.

Thanks guys, we're glad to have you along for the ride.

We're still a work in progress, but we're slowly and surely getting it figured out. Look for original content coming soon.
