In Which I Join GALECA

It's been a big day here at From the Front Row. In yet another new development, I found out today that I have been accepted for membership into the Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association.

GALECA's mission statement is "to remind the world of our community’s influence on the screen arts and society at large as taste-makers and trendsetters. To champion the art of witty, wise and historically knowledgeable film and TV criticism. To help advance a stronger and healthier gay community by supporting programs for at-risk youth, disease prevention, recovery and civil rights."

I am proud to join this esteemed group as we spotlight excellence not only in gay themed film and film from a gay perspective, but great filmmaking period.
