Sight & Sound's Top Ten of 2007

The British Film Institute's publication Sight & Sound has released its annual poll of critics and filmmakers for the top films of the year. They are:

1. 4 Months, 3 Weeks, & 2 Days
2. Inland Empire
3. Zodiac
4. I'm Not There
The Lives of Others (tie)
6. Silent Light
7. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Syndromes and a Century
No Country for Old Men

Eastern Promises (tie)

These are, of course, first rate choices. Many will end up on my own top ten list (or would...but The Lives of Others and Inland Empire were both released in 2006 stateside), although there are a couple I have still yet to see.
