10 Best Movie Titles?

Spoutblog has listed what it considers the ten best movie titles of the last ten years. They are:
  1. All About My Mother
  2. Amores Perros
  3. The Perfect Storm
  4. Shanghai Noon
  5. Adaptation
  6. Bad Company
  7. National Treasure
  8. Shaun of the Dead
  9. 2046
  10. There Will Be Blood
The only ones I really agree with are All About My Mother and There Will Be Blood. I would add Children of Men, Babel, The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, and Went to Coney Island on a Mission from God...Be Back by Five. I may even throw in Dancer in the Dark and Y Tu Mama Tambien for good measure.

What say you? Agree? Disagree? What titles would you add to the list?

Only because you mentioned Dogma 95 a few posts ago, but I liked, not in top ten probably, but the titles from Dogville are excellent.

I like your titles way better than the ones on the list Matthew. How about ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND? TASTE OF CHERRY? THE LIVES OF OTHERS?

I read somewhere where somebody liked the title SNAKES ON A PLANE. The only problem there is that the movie is so God-awful, that you don't even want to grant it that. LOL!

Good call on ETERNAL SUNSHINE Sam, I didn't think of that one and would definitely include it.

But I must disagree on SNAKES ON A PLANE. I LOVE it! It's one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

Eyes Wide Shut, definitely. A single title that encapsulates the meaning of the whole movie in itself. Simply brilliant.

Other candidates might be C.R.A.Z.Y., A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, The Conversation, Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb, Kill Bill, M, No Country For Old Men, Pulp Fiction, Requiem For A Dream, Sideways, 2:37, 8 1/2, Anatomy of a Murder, Apocalypse Now, Back to the Future, Good Night and Good Luck, A History of Violence, Kind Hearts and Coronets, Transamerica, Blue, Red, White, 300, The Butcher Boy, Closer, Dial M for Murder, Elephant and... many more.

God, there are so much good movie titles; I had not realized that until now.

Sam took mine - Eternal Sunshine is the first that came to mind.

National Treasure and Bad Company? Now, I know it's easy to list off 10 great movies as examples of movies with good titles and to say nay to worse movies based solely on their "worseness," but both of those are really generic titles.

Anil - last 10 years.

And I'd give SOAP one of the spots, easily, regardless of its badness.

woa...you like the long titles.

I kind of like the titles that draw out themes in a film...

for example, i would choose "Cider House Rules"

I also like the tile "The Prestige" because it simply doesn't mean anything until you watch it.

I also like Ratatouille, In the Valley of Elah, Thank You For Smoking, The Constant Gardner, Fever Pitch, & The Motorcycle Diaries to think of a few.

Dang, everyone is listing some great ones but I'll have to go with RC on this one the most. Great point about The Prestige
