On "The Ghost Writer"

Polanski hits all the right notes and presses all the right buttons, not only keeping the audience on the edge of their seats but emotionally involved with the characters as well. This is a good, old-fashioned suspense yarn that culminates with one of the most haunting final shots in years.

We differ on the "emotionally involved" part. I didn't find myself caring for the characters at all.
