Yay for Happy-Go-Lucky, and Waltz. I hope to see the latter soon, and I hear a chance may just pop up soon, if you know what I mean ;)
I hope it does...that would be so awesome if you could see it soon. I really want to know what you think. :-)
I saw WALTZ WITH BASHIR last night and I am sorry to say I didn't "love" it. I liked it, yes, but I couldn't find the real greatness in it that you and so many others have. I admit I am intimidated by all the praise and am questioning my own sanity, but I must be honest. I'd love to be on this bandwagon. In any case, I will admit that the National Society was bold with this choice.
Hanna Schugula's win for THE EDGE OF HEAVEN was simply magnificent and well-deserved! She was my own personal Best Supporting actress choice too.
I'm sorry you didn't see what I saw it "Waltz" Sam. I think it's a haunting, dreamlike examination of the effects of war on the young men who fight. Very powerful stuff.
