You, me and Kathie Smith have been carrying the torch for "Munyurangabo" all year long. I don't know anyone else who's put it on their list. Such an underrated film.

Antichrist certainly makes an impression. Loved the imagery in the film.

I still can't like Antichrist. Sigh. Nice list though [of which I've seen only a couple].

I did not see your #3 film unfortunately, but there's always one! Ha!

Exquisite and delightfully eclectic list, with some gems there for sure, though I continue to consider THE WHITE RIBBON, vastly overrated despite its beautiful black and white cinematography by Christian Bergen. But I am in a major minority there. I correctly figured your #1 out, but you made no effort to conceal that for many weeks at this site.

My own:

1 Bright Star
2 Avatar
3 35 Shots of Rum (France)
4 Up
5 A Single Man
6 Police Adjective (Romania)
7 Everlasting Moments (Sweden)
8 Summer Hours (France)
9 A Serious Man
10 District 9 and Star Trek (tie)

Just missed:

Anti-Christ (Denmark)
Of Time and the City (UK)
Rembrandt's J'Accuse (UK)
The Son (Japan)
The Hurt Locker
Flame and Citron (Denmark)
Tokyo Sonata (Japan)
Somers Town (UK)
La Danse
Seraphine (France)
House of the Devil
In the Loop (UK)

Actually, GOODBYE SOLO and AMREEKA would be added to the "just missed" list....

I should never attempt to complete these lists until I have all the data in front of me, which is something you Matthew are impeccable for.

I accidentally left off THE LAST STATION and ME AND ORSON WELLES, which also must be add to the just missed scroll.

In any case I do look forward to seeing your #3, as soon as it's available on DVD.

Thanks Sam!

Thanks so much for that Matthew! I will certainly move to secure it!!!

I did make one change on my list. My #10 tie between DISTRICT 9 and STAR TREK has now been altered. Those two will be included on the "Just missed" while OF TIME AND THE CITY and TOKYO SONATA are in for the #10 tie.
