A Glimpse at Cannes 2009

Of the list of possibly entries in this year's Cannes Film Festival, as listed by Mike Goodridge of Screen Daily, I am most looking forward to:
  • Broken Embraces (Pedro Almodovar)
  • Antichrist (Lars von Trier)
  • Tales from the Golden Age (Cristian Mungiu)
  • Taking Woodstock (Ang Lee)
  • Inglorious Basterds (Quentin Tarantino)
Several others look interesting but those are the ones that really caught my eye...mostly due to my love for their respective directors. Check out he full list of possibilities here.

Yes indeed, Those five directors--and their new films--are absolutely eye-catching. A lot of people will be watching how that Romanian director's film turns out, what will her recent win for that irrefutable masterpiece.

God, I could not agree with you more on those five films, they all seem to be worth keeping an eye on (duh). There are others on that list that I want to see badly, but the five you singled out really are the most intriguing I think.
